The Wiesenhof Garden Resort is a place to feel at ease, especially for dog owners. The service is warm and attentive – you can feel genuine hospitality everywhere. The spa area offers a wide variety of activities. We were particularly impressed by the fitness and yoga classes, which were taught with so much heart. A truly wonderful stay. We will definitely be back!
A pampering holiday in St. Leonhard. Excellent service, superb cuisine, attentive hotel management, and noticeable cleanliness! Everything was top-notch. The sauna and spa area is particularly noteworthy – beautifully designed. A suitable base for tours, hikes, etc., for a relaxing getaway. The hotel offers weekly activity programs.
Rooms facing the street are a bit noisy, and parking is limited – depending on occupancy – but this will improve in the future: expansion plans were mentioned. Our experience dates back to October 2023; we have stayed here several times since. All in all: Highly recommended. Offers can be found on the hotel's website, and communication with reception is excellent.
We also enjoyed the hospitality of the "Wiesenhof" in St. Leonhard in October 2025. The quality in all areas (cuisine, rooms, service) remains consistently high: Every evening there are culinary surprises, and in the morning, at the extensive breakfast buffet, you can choose your dinner from several options. A lunch buffet is included in the 3/4 board package. Suggested hikes and guided hotel hikes, as well as bike tours, enrich your vacation day – there's something for everyone. After a hike, the extensive spa area is a haven of relaxation (saunas with infusions, pools, a natural pond, whirlpools, various relaxation rooms, a Swiss pine cabin with hot and cold drinks, apples, and dried fruit). The overall atmosphere is characterized by the warm, family-like friendliness of all the staff and management. An entertaining live music program is offered several evenings a week. The "Wiesenhof" is impressive across the board and always worth a visit. Regular guests also enjoy attractive discounts; changing offers depending on the time of year and season can be found on the website. All in all, "5 stars" *****
The best hotel for us in South Tyrol! We regularly visit this beautiful hotel! No wish is left unfulfilled, or in other words: all wishes are fulfilled! Pure relaxation! Great rooms, incredibly good food (far too good), a wonderful wellness area with an event sauna! Everything is truly highly recommended!
Above all, the service at this hotel is unbeatable. We've rarely encountered such kind and friendly guests. Whether at reception, service, bar, spa, or sauna area. The food was absolutely first-class and varied. Dogs are very welcome here, but families and couples will also find everything their heart desires. Our room location wasn't ideal, but we could have swapped rooms, which was offered to us in advance. The room itself, however, was great and very spacious. Dog owners will find a short walking trail right next to the hotel. For those seeking peace and quiet, there's a sauna area exclusively for adults. The only thing we missed was the direct access to the hiking trail, but that has nothing to do with the first-class quality of this hotel. We say thank you very much and will definitely be back.

Spacious apartment. Despite the main road running behind the hotel, it's very quiet. The food is excellent, with wonderful buffets.

Five stars aren't enough to describe the quality and services offered. We had a wonderful time; everything from the food to the spa, the pools (indoor and outdoor), and the garden was well-maintained and kept with great care and cleanliness. The hotel is dog-friendly, and offers the opportunity to go on hikes of varying intensity in the beautiful Passiria Valley. Special praise goes to the reception staff, all incredibly kind and always eager to help and accommodate our every need. We couldn't have asked for more; we truly hope to return one day.
This is our fifth time staying at the Wiesenhof. The team is fantastic... from reception (Moni, Steffi, Patrick, and Philipp) to the service (Lena and Andreas), to the wellness team (Steffi, Paul, and Barbara), and even the hiking manager, Stefan... everything is top-notch. Unfortunately, we're from OL, so we have a long commute and can only come once a year.

The service is wonderful, and the range of excursions and leisure activities is varied. We made full use of the dog park. I can also highly recommend the dog sitter; Hubert is super sweet. Our boy was completely relaxed with him.
The only thing you need to know about the dog park is that it's not completely fenced in. With a fence, it would be a top-notch! :)

Separate family and adults-only areas. Absolutely recommended, we'll be back! Dogs are allowed here, but as a non-dog owner, that didn't bother me.
We stayed at the Wiesenhof with our dog. The hotel is very dog-friendly. Our dog, Lucky, lacked nothing. He even joined the hotel on a free, guided hike. We also participated in a guided hike. The sauna sessions are fantastic. We'd love to come back.

We only stayed one night on a hiking trip, but we were thrilled. A dinner menu for 40 euros was more extensive than I've ever seen. The breakfast was also excellent. Bircher muesli, various croissants, a huge selection. Several saunas and pools. Everything is highly recommended. As a welcome, we were offered a free aperitif of our choice.

I was thrilled upon arrival to discover that there was an 11 kW charger available for electric cars in the underground garage, which you can use at a reasonable price. There's also a charging station outside. The food was very good, as was the wellness area, etc. What I also particularly liked was the weekly program with many activities, such as free guided hikes. It leaves nothing to be desired, and I can highly recommend the Wiesenhof.

A truly unique and fantastic family-run hotel in the Passeier Valley. From the moment I booked, they were kind and honest in finding a solution to my request.
Finally, I was given a larger room at the price of a standard room. Everything was clean and tidy.
The wellness center and saunas were clean, with apples and dried fruit available, along with hot drinks.
The afternoon snack and dinner were impeccable. I highly recommend it, and similar establishments are worth a visit.

Our only criticism is the service in the restaurant. We understand that training is needed, but not a single meal is without mistakes.
A used drink bottle from the neighboring table is set aside; the next time, still water is ordered and sparkling water is delivered.
You want to wait between courses, but the food arrives anyway; you order a Coke and get iced tea. At lunch, you are asked three times what you want to drink.
At the buffet, empty trays are left out and only refilled late. Cutlery isn't provided in sufficient quantities...

Whether it's breakfast, the afternoon buffet, or dinner, we're always impressed.
Another pleasant aspect is the moderate additional costs for things like cappuccino, Aperol Spritz, wine, and gin.
From the moment you arrive, you feel welcome. The friendly and helpful reception makes you feel at home immediately. All of the Wiesenhof staff are extremely attentive and always greet guests with a smile.
The cuisine is particularly outstanding – a true delight for the palate and artfully presented.

As always, our stay at the Wiesenhof was a wonderfully relaxing experience. We were especially lucky to be able to catch the sauna week with the special infusions this time. A wonderfully varied program is created here: creative, full of dance, fun, and very professional. And it's not just the invited sauna attendants who ensure this high standard, but also the Wiesenhof team, who constantly conduct the sauna infusions on site.
Everything in the hotel is very well maintained. The staff, no matter where they are in the hotel, are helpful and very friendly, and the manager of the hotel makes sure to assist with the service in the evenings. You can just tell that everyone feels at home here!

I was there on two subsequent weekends with friends. I know a little about the Passeier Valley and its hotels. I think the price-performance ratio is ok but not above average. The hotel could certainly do one thing or another in terms of service and friendliness. As well as in the area of service, that would take the whole thing to another level.
I'm happy with the food, but there are some things that could be improved. Regional products, more organic products with more taste, etc. Making your own orange juice at the morning buffet is a good idea, but the implementation is not optimal. What I just have to point out when eating is that there is a lot of effort at the buffet etc. and the customers and guests behave like voles, which I think is a shame but the hotel can't do anything about it.
The information from Steffi (reception) was always courteous and friendly, just great thanks also to Steffi from the sauna, unique infusions, great shows and a huge commitment.
Unfortunately, the Italian lady at check-in wasn't that keen, only half-accompanied us into the room, then showed us the direction and said the last door on the right. The other time just handed over a card and pointed the finger at the old building.
Andreas from the bar was a great guy, I still celebrate him today, such a friendly, down-to-earth man from the village. Completely naturally honest and simply more than correct. For me, this man deserves legendary status in the hotel.

We spent two very relaxing days at the hotel. We were particularly impressed by the culinary offerings of the 3/4 board. The entire staff is very friendly, and you feel like a regular guest even after your first visit. In the sauna area, the lounging options are a bit limited in the late afternoon. We loved that tea and water, as well as small snacks, were available everywhere. The sauna infusions were very varied and at times quite entertaining. We would have appreciated one or two additional infusions throughout the afternoon.

It was our very first time in South Tyrol and we ended up at the Wiesenhof thanks to recommendations from friends. We were absolutely thrilled. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The food was fantastic, and the wellness area is a dream.
All in all, the hotel is highly recommended! It certainly won't be our last time there!

We stayed at Hotel Wiesenhof in August 2024.
The hotel has an elegant style with wood finishes typical of Trentino-Alto Adige. The staff is professional and friendly, and the welcome was excellent, with suggestions for excursions organized directly by the hotel or maps of nearby trails and routes.
The room is modern, with air conditioning and very comfortable beds.
The food is high quality, absolutely in line with, or even superior to, a 4-star superior hotel, which is the Hotel Wiesenhof's rating. The indoor and outdoor pools are spotless and easy for the whole family to enjoy. There is an indoor children's play area that is always tidy and spotless.
We will definitely be back; we found the quality to be high throughout Hotel Wiesenhof.

We experienced genuine hospitality and friendliness from every single member of staff – both we and our dog felt completely at home!
The breakfast was incredibly varied, and the dinner was expertly prepared. Drink prices were fair, and there was a dedicated dining room for dog owners. The value for money was good.
We had the tower suite, which, while it could use a bit of a makeover in some areas, was well-equipped overall. It would be especially nice if the dog lawn were fully fenced in so the dogs could play together in a relaxed atmosphere.
The location is ideal for numerous hikes and for exploring Merano and the surrounding area.
All in all, it was a very nice vacation.
We searched for a long time for a hotel that is dog-friendly but still has a certain level of quality. We stayed at the Wiesenhof for the first time and were thrilled. There are many guests with dogs there. During meals, guests with dogs are in a separate room where up to 12 dogs can be present. Other guests can have peace and quiet in other rooms. There is also a separate lawn for guests with dogs. Aside from how comfortable our dog felt, we can also highly recommend the hotel. The food is truly top-notch and the best thing about the entire hotel is the consistently friendly, relaxed and attentive team. From the restaurant service to the reception and the cleaning staff, they are so friendly that you simply feel at home. As somewhat critical guests, we can highly recommend the Wiesenhof.

We spent a week here on vacation and were completely satisfied. What we liked best was that our dog can come almost everywhere with us, which is great for us as dog owners. The room was nice, the food delicious, and the service excellent. What more could you want? We'll definitely be back.

After a breathtaking drive over the Timmelsjoch Pass, we were greeted at the Wiesenhof with a welcome cocktail.
Our room was very large and very clean. I usually find at least minor flaws in every hotel. This wasn't the case here.
Since we only stayed two nights, we concentrated on short walks in the surrounding area. We didn't use the entire wellness offering, including the swimming pool, sauna, etc. In any case, the selection here is very extensive. In addition to self-organized excursions, the hotel also offers organized tours, etc., every day. This is advertised daily in the hotel's small newspaper.
A highlight, of course, was the culinary offering. We couldn't get enough of the incredibly extensive buffet selection, as well as the served dishes. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted excellent, just like in a Michelin-starred restaurant. On both days, there were also different dishes available both in the buffet and in the served dishes.
This food selection alone is enough to tempt you to visit the Wiesenhof again.
The entire staff, whether at reception, in service, or in housekeeping, was super friendly. We felt welcomed, like family.
We arrived with an electric car and were looking for charging stations in town. Unfortunately, they were either broken, occupied, or our charging card wasn't accepted. Only then did we think to ask the hotel if there was a charging station, which they did. We were happy that our return trip was secured.
Even though we only stayed here for two nights, we didn't regret coming here.

We had booked a gable room on the 3rd floor, facing southwest, from Saturday, May 11th to Saturday, May 18th, 2024.
To our surprise, upon arrival, the young man at reception assigned us the first room "right by the elevator" (noise), facing north, towards the parking lot and the street!
After we pointed out that we had booked a southwest-facing room, we finally received the correct one!
We are long-time regular guests, and it was rather annoying that we only received the room we booked after complaining!
Otherwise, everything was perfect, as always!
We can now call ourselves regulars and are currently planning our fifth vacation at the Wiesenhof. It's a truly special place with great food, super friendly staff, and the world's best sauna team!
A very warm welcome - very friendly and great service - the car was parked in the underground car park... I have to particularly mention "Steffi" at the reception - a second sun in South Tyrol! Authentic and particularly helpful, gives great tips and gets the best honey directly from the beekeeper in the village next door - highly recommended!
The service in the restaurant was very attentive and courteous - as it should be! The chef is very competent, motivated and tries to "conjure up" everything in the kitchen and also prepare the dishes individually in case of food intolerances. The chefs and chef tried very hard to be understanding about personal intolerances and they absolutely succeeded - every day! Food was always very fresh and excellently prepared like in a 5-star restaurant - thank you! The breakfast buffet was rich and nothing was missing - the freshly squeezed orange juice in beautiful large glasses (not in mini glasses as is often the case) was what was special for me in the morning.

We didn't have many days to unwind. We stumbled upon this beautiful place while searching on Booking.
It was one surprise after another. From the warm welcome, to the clean, elegant, and perfect spaces. To the room with attention to every detail. To the courtesy of the dining room staff, to the ladies who looked after the rooms. Kindness everywhere, they make you feel at home and pampered. We're also a family, and in these areas, children are sometimes the ones who disturb relaxation, but here they are welcome. It's also nice for animal lovers to see their little furry friends welcomed into their own spaces.
And let's not forget the excellent cuisine, and the family-friendly spa area.

A superbly run hotel. The staff is simply fantastic. You can really feel the perfect working atmosphere here. The food is fantastic. Great appetizer and dessert buffets. A fantastic breakfast. Everything your heart desires. We were there on New Year's Eve. A fantastic menu, and the hotel is truly generous with the sparkling wine and goulash soup, etc. for the New Year. What we liked best was the wellness area. Very large, and an event sauna that caters to all your needs. Sometimes there are three "Wedler" saunas, which make for a truly special experience. Themed saunas, such as music inspired by Rammstein or Queen, create a fantastic atmosphere. It's amazing what the wellness staff always come up with.
We've been there four times now and will be back!

There's a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere throughout the hotel. You can tell the team enjoys working here and gets along well. The food is delicious and varied. Guided hikes are offered, and you don't have to worry about a thing, as you're transported there by the hotel bus. The spa area is lovely, and the sauna infusions are truly a special experience. The drinks selection at the bar leaves nothing to be desired. The staff are always courteous and work with a smile. We'll be back as soon as possible.

Das gesamte Team des Wiesenhof ist sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Unser Hund wurde äußerst freundlich aufgenommen, für Hundebesitzer gibt es einen separaten Speiseraum, der dem nicht für Hunde Zugänglichen aber in nichts nachsteht.
Das Frühstück und Abendessen ist äußergewöhnlich gut, es bleiben keine Wünsche offen.
Gassirunden können direkt hinter dem Hotel ausgiebig getan werden. Die Nachmittagsjause ist sehr lang, man kann sie auch nach einer längeren Wanderung noch genießen.
Der Außenpool ist angenehm frisch, zum Schwimmen geeignet.
Zummer sind angenehm groß und Betten sehr gut.

Sehr schönes Hotel, sehr sauber und die Zimmer sind toll eingerichtet. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Es gibt eine extra Liegewiese im Aussenbereich wo die Hunde mitdürfen, auch einen extra Speisesaal für Hundebesitzer. Im Zimmer gibt es eine schöne Decke für die Hunde, die auf dem Sofa liegen möchten. Das Essen wird sehr liebevoll zubereitet und alles in allem ein Hotel, welches sich sehr viel Mühe gibt um den Gästen einen schönen Urlaub zu bereiten.

The hotel was built in the late 1960s and has been expanded and modernized over the years. Today, the Wiesenhof welcomes its guests with wooden furniture in a classic (but not old-fashioned) style with modern accents.
The Garden Suite on the top floor is very spacious, featuring a dining table for four and a couch that also serves as a third sleeping space. The main bedroom can be separated from the first room by a sliding door. Both rooms feature a beautiful open roof structure. In addition to the bathroom with a shower, bathtub, toilet, and bidet, there is a second toilet. The only drawback: the rooms are thinly soundproofed. We could hear the neighbors' coughing or their TVs, although they were quiet.
The wellness area includes an indoor and outdoor swimming pool (the latter not open in winter; the indoor pool measures approximately 9x5m), a family wellness area (sauna, infrared, steam), and a separate area for adults. Two outdoor whirlpools are also available.
A fitness area is also available, as is a 3/4-board option (full board is not offered). The staff are exceptionally friendly and provide excellent service.
The food is simply divine and, in my opinion, the highlight of the hotel!
3/4-board is available with an afternoon snack; it consists of a changing soup(s), salads, sausages and cheeses, and sweet treats.
Dinner consists of at least three courses plus salads and other changing antipasti (e.g., carpacchio, vitello tonato, sushi, various fish, grilled vegetables, etc.).
It is also possible to order multiple courses frequently, for example, two different main courses (if you can't decide or are extremely hungry). A cheese counter provides a perfect finish after the generous dessert (usually served buffet-style).
The portion sizes are deliberately kept small; however, with at least four courses, they are perfectly sufficient (and, as described, you can order double). It happens as it always does: You leave the table every evening having eaten too much again.
There isn't much to see in St. Leonhard itself. However, there are a few shops, such as grocery stores and sporting goods stores. A pharmacy is about 5 minutes away by car.
The Racines-Giovo ski area is about 30 minutes away via the Giovo Pass (note: the pass can sometimes be closed during the day). Merano 2000 is also about 30 minutes away.
I highly recommend the Wiesenhof.

As a family with two dogs, we were very warmly welcomed and felt pampered and cared for in every way by the always friendly Wiesenhof team. The food, service, rooms, and amenities not only met but exceeded our expectations in many areas. Therefore, the top marks are more than deserved.

We particularly liked:
- the really polite and courteous staff in the service, wellness area and at the reception.
- The really incredibly good food! Extravagant, but a touch down-to-earth and of high craftsmanship. Really big cinema.
- Great rooms. lots of wood, a great shower.
- Wellness area for families, indoor pool, outdoor pool. Everything is very nice.
If I had two wishes:
- a more stable WiFi
- one or two USB slots in the room :)

The wellness area is modern and spacious, and the event sauna infusions were fantastic.
We had a standard double room. The room was great. It was perfectly adequate in size. The terrace had a great view. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was modern.

Excellent hotel: the spa has been recently renovated and expanded, and the rooms are very welcoming, even the simplest ones. The restaurant offers creative and delicious dishes. The opportunity to participate in the excursions organized by the hotel is a welcome bonus. This is the fourth year we've spent a short vacation here in February, and I think we'll do it again!

The wellness options, including massages and the like, are a dream. I'm only deducting one star for location because the hotel is about a 20-minute drive from three ski resorts. Everything else, however, is more than 5 stars...

From the first moment you arrive until the last minute before your departure, you feel well looked after and at home in this hotel. All the staff are very accommodating and friendly, the food is excellent, and the selection from the breakfast buffet to dinner, including the so-called 3/4 board in the early afternoon, is simply fantastic. The entire spa area is also full of praise, and the sauna infusions by professional sauna/infusion masters are simply unforgettable. Compliments to the entire team. P.S.: Our two dogs also felt very comfortable. A small criticism concerns the dog park, where we unfortunately found dog excrement every day—despite written warnings. It's likely that these weren't hotel guests' dogs, but rather dogs from the neighborhood.
Everyone was so friendly, I hope you stay this way, I will definitely come to visit you every year.

The Wiesenhof in St. Leonhard in the Passeier Valley has become "our" hotel. :) Exactly one year ago, we checked in and felt completely at ease from the very first moment, so we've decided to visit the Wiesenhof once a year. We'd especially like to highlight the warmth and attentiveness of the staff, who fulfilled our every wish. The rooms are superbly equipped, and the panoramic view is simply heavenly. The spa area leaves nothing to be desired, and we were also thoroughly spoiled with the culinary delights. We're already looking forward to our next visit to the Wiesenhof. :)
A wellness holiday at its finest. The food is simply fantastic, the sauna infusions are legendary, and the entire team puts their heart and soul into it. Well-behaved dogs are even allowed to join us for dinner with advance notice. We'll definitely be back as soon as possible.
We spent a wonderful vacation here as a couple. The hotel is superbly managed, and guests' wishes are catered for. Wonderful tours are offered daily, and the wellness area is superbly maintained and spacious. The staff is always friendly and attentive. I can't praise them enough.

We've been guests at the Hotel Wiesenhof in San Leonardo in Passiria for 11 years, and if fate allows, we'll be back next year. No complaints. We love everything about it.
The cuisine and the generous buffet (breakfast and dinner) are excellent.
The wellness area is beautiful (professionally managed).
Rooms: large and spacious.
Efficient and friendly staff (always available with a smile).
Just a few (very small) comments to help improve:
1) Rooms: arrange personal items (pajamas) with a little more respect; more thorough cleaning AFTER guests with dogs have passed through, to avoid unpleasant "hair" (some may be allergic to dogs, and perhaps there were a few too many here).
2) Outdoor parking: There's NO need to expand it; guests would just need to be a little more polite when parking (note the cars parked askew and taking up two spaces). It's not necessary to hire a valet, but perhaps a note in the brochure would be helpful.
3) I would have also included something to drink in my afternoon snack (especially for those returning from long walks in the mountains in the... heat);
These are just SUGGESTIONS, for the rest... CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Absolutely fantastic hotel. The prices are high, but when you consider what you get for that, it's completely justified. The rooms are beautiful and the overall ambiance of the hotel is top-notch. All the staff are very friendly and relaxed. The wellness area is an absolute dream, and the many different relaxation rooms are sensational. A beautiful roof terrace with whirlpools completes this area. The infusions in the sauna were incredibly well done, and cooling off in the natural pool afterwards was a dream. Special activities are offered every day: hikes or other sporting activities, trips to museums or local distilleries. The food was fantastic and very varied. Someone here really puts thought into the composition of the courses. From check-in to check-out, everything was perfect. Keep up the good work!

"We love to help people enjoy themselves" is this hotel's motto. And they absolutely live up to it! What a fantastic place, with truly genuine service with a local flavor. The spa is very large and beautiful, and a great place to start hikes or rent an e-bike from the hotel. Breakfast and dinner were also delicious and extensive. Highly recommended.

We stayed at this fantastic hotel in St. Leonhard im Passeier for 6 days. From arrival to checkout, everything went wonderfully. The staff at reception, in the service/bar, and the cleaning staff were all so friendly and helpful. We traveled to the hotel with our small dog – a crucial factor was that the hotel advertises itself as dog-friendly. After we checked into our original room, we weren't entirely happy with the room we had booked and asked at reception for a room change. No problem at all, and we were given a super nice corner room.
A small suggestion from us: it would be nice if the described dog park were completely fenced in. Unfortunately, we couldn't use it at all, as it was open and we would have had to leave our dog on a leash. A small water fountain for dogs on the aforementioned park would also be really nice – especially in these hot temperatures, only humans can cool off in the really nice pool.
Otherwise, we really enjoyed our time at the hotel and were able to start our journey home relaxed and refreshed.

I really liked the inquiry and booking process right away. It was handled via the hotel's own communication tool. No annoying email ping-pong, everything in one place, all correspondence, wellness appointments, and other arrangements, etc.
The inquiry about the vacation itself was also a real highlight for me. Unfortunately, the information I had provided in advance wasn't really used. For example, if the booking was for a dog vacation, they could have placed a treat in the room, proactively arranged dog walks, or contacted the guest more individually after the vacation. But that should be taken as intellectual arson and not as criticism.
I particularly liked that, despite the 4-star superior rating and excellent service, the atmosphere is very relaxed and casual, not at all stuffy. The hotel has a very harmonious design overall, and the modern rooms are truly magnificent, very spacious, and the balcony is also large, offering a view of the pools and the beautiful surrounding mountain landscape.
The wellness department is always cheerful, the pedicures and manicures were top-notch, and the massage was also good.
No matter what time you get hungry at Wiesenhof, it's always worth stopping by for a bite to eat. The service staff is very attentive both in the morning and in the evening and remembers even repeat orders. Truly great.
Franzi, with whom we went on a hike, is not only open-hearted but also really funny and a real highlight. You should treat yourself to at least one hike with her. :-)
Only the check-out at reception was very sober and not as warm as we were used to during our stay. The welcome and farewell are extremely important for the overall experience, even in a hotel; the stay can be more pleasant than ever...

If you're looking for a wellness vacation with your dog, this is the place for you. We're thrilled. The food is fantastic, a great dog walking path starts right outside the hotel, and there are even dog swimming areas on hot summer days. The wellness area is so large that you can easily get lost. The relaxation room with waterbeds is particularly great. Thanks to Tina for the wonderful massage and Hubert for the dog sitting. All in all, perfect for unwinding and enjoying outdoor activities with your dog. We'll be back!

We would give it more stars if we could. It has now become our absolute favorite hotel. This was our first time at this hotel, but we will definitely only come here when we go to South Tyrol. From the moment we arrived, we and our four dogs were greeted more warmly than ever before. Quote:
First, we got a room upgrade from a double room to an apartment, amazing! The room was so great, comfortable beds, so much space for our dogs, a large balcony, a walk-in shower, everything clean and a comfortable atmosphere. A welcome drink upon arrival and an arnica gel for our tired "hiker's legs." Then the food, amazing, so delicious, so much choice, real works of art, so much attention to detail, and we were allowed to take our dogs into the area of the restaurant where dogs were allowed. Nice and friendly staff everywhere in every area. The manager was also so nice; we always struck up conversations with other guests and didn't meet anyone who was dissatisfied. The wellness area was top-notch. The whirlpools and swimming pool are perfectly warm. In most of the hotels we've stayed in, the water was always too cold for us, but here it's just perfectly warm for us. Great whirlpools, including on the roof, with a fantastic view. There are always plenty of towels available. The saunas are very nice, with something for every taste. The infusions are brilliant and professional. There's free water with syrup and tea in the wellness area, which is fantastic! Fruit and nuts are also available. The entire hotel is very nice. We have nothing to complain about. Perhaps a highlight would be some peeling salt for the steam sauna, and perhaps a completely fenced-in dog park outside would also be a good idea.
The stay was far too short in retrospect; we would have loved to stay longer if we'd known beforehand what to expect.
The location is great; you can start hiking directly from the hotel.

We particularly like the separation of the dog owners and the other guests in the dining room. "Dining room" isn't the right term; it's made up of several rooms, so it's cozy rather than noisy.

The entire staff was always cheerful and very friendly. Our room was quiet, bright, and clean, and the dining rooms were tidy. The furniture represented a good mix of modern and traditional. The breakfast buffet was very extensive - the "lunchtime snack" was full of variety - and each course of the evening menu was lovingly prepared. The outdoor area was well-maintained. The hotel's location is not central, but we found it very pleasant!
So, nothing was left to be desired and there was absolutely nothing to complain about! It was our first time there, but it certainly won't be our last!

Rooms: We have stayed in different rooms. All are beautiful with advantages and disadvantages. In the older part there is a wonderful starry sky on the ceiling. In the newer part, however, there are very nice, modern furnishings and air conditioning.
Wellness: Fantastically beautiful wellness area with various saunas, relaxation rooms, pools and a beautiful garden. There is also a small dress-on wellness area.
I think it's very good that you can take the towels on site and change them as you wish.
Culinary:
Rich breakfast buffet that leaves nothing to be desired.
Lunchtime salad buffet, soup, fruit and strudel, cake etc.
In the evening there is always a great course menu and a really good salad and starter menu!
For my taste there should be pasta a little more often and the soup portions should be a little smaller.
Location/surroundings:
The hotel is located near a beautiful river where you can walk/hike/cycle/jog. Merano is not far.
Otherwise it should be mentioned that there are also some dogs here. You might want to consider it if you don't like it at all.

Simply a fantastic hotel all around. Incredibly friendly and accommodating. Superb, modern, spacious rooms. We had a truly wonderful and relaxing short break. Our dog also felt incredibly comfortable. The spa area is also top-notch. We had a very good massage.

Just a small point to add at the end, which doesn't really affect my overall rating as it's quite subjective: In my opinion, the restaurant doesn't quite match the hotel's culinary offerings; there's definitely room for improvement. I'm glad we only booked with breakfast included. Everyone there was incredibly friendly, but as a vegan, I had a bit of a hard time. Perhaps it was because they weren't quite sure what vegan meant exactly. The surrounding restaurants were much more flexible in that regard.

We've vacationed at the Wiesenhof several times with our dog. We've stayed in almost every room, this time in the Schafgarbe Suite. This room is amazing with its approximately 20 m² terrace. Everything about this hotel is just perfect. I keep looking for a reason to complain, but never succeed, until this time. The bread knife could be a bit sharper!!!!!! A big thank you to the fantastic staff. This hotel offers excellent value for money in every respect. Even the dog is happy and it's affordable.

The entire stay at the Hotel Wiesenhof was wonderful. The service staff were very friendly and attentive. The hotel complex and especially the spa area are super nice and large. The treatments we booked were also very good and appropriate. The hotel is perfect not only for summer, but also for colder autumn or winter days.
A huge compliment goes to the excellent cuisine. The food was really fantastic. We enjoyed the 6-course menu every day and were always amazed by the quality and variety.
We will come back next year and are pleased that our dog will be so warmly welcomed at the Hotel Wiesenhof.

Great hotel, suitable for children (both young and old), and what I really appreciated was that the dog area is separate from the rest of the hotel. The Wiesenhof is a beautiful wellness resort in a fantastic location. As vegetarians and vegans, we get a very wide selection every day, and children can also enjoy alternatives to the menu. The wellness area is highly recommended; the massages are fantastic. The saunas and pool are very well maintained, and the garden is beautifully decorated! We look forward to our next visit!

Unfortunately, the underground parking garage is a bit cramped. Leo, the owner, is a gem and went out of his way to make our stay a wonderful experience. Everything is clean and tidy. Very well-kept, clean facility with a wonderful spa! Only two flaws! The first is that the reservation made through Booking.com didn't include room cleaning, which I would never have expected for a facility of this caliber; cleaning should be done regardless!! The second is the beds and pillows!! Unbelievably uncomfortable!! For the rest, really nothing to say!!!

This year, despite the adverse circumstances (the coronavirus pandemic), the Hofer family and their team once again provided us with a fantastic vacation. The room was very well-kept and tidy, the food was always excellent, and the service was extremely attentive. Special mention goes to Silvia and Anja from the service department!

Top-notch renovated and well-run family hotel with beautiful, spacious rooms and a restaurant at a toque level. Together with the friendly and attentive staff and the spa area, which is extraordinarily large for the size of the hotel, all the conditions are in place for a relaxing stay, which we will certainly enjoy more often in the future.

I had heard a lot of positive things beforehand and was really looking forward to my stay. What I then experienced almost blew me away: an incredibly beautiful garden resort that lives up to its name: a fantastic wellness garden & indoor area, a rooftop terrace with whirlpools (a gigantic Alpine panorama!!), plus truly fantastic three-quarters board and a picturesque landscape. What can I say... I would love to move in here.

Hotel Wiesenhof is a very, very nice hotel where great emphasis is placed on cleanliness. The hotel is located at the entrance to St. Leonhard, and although it is located under a main road, there is no sign of traffic. The entire hotel complex was so carefully designed that the rooms, dining room, terrace, and wellness area are all facing the meadows (Gandellen). The kitchen creates an excellent menu every evening. Everything is very fresh and balanced. The service is very friendly and helpful; all the staff are local; you can tell that everyone enjoys working at the Wiesenhof. A great team.

Excellent experience at this property, the environment is better in person than the presentation images displayed on the official website. I agree with those who find it exceeded their expectations before staying there. With the 3/4 board option, you have the feeling of continuing to eat given the wide selection available and the extended hours. The cuisine is top-notch for demanding and refined guests. The common areas are impeccable in terms of cleanliness and refined furnishings. A special mention goes to the rooms and the large wellness area. I personally had a great time. Sincere congratulations to all the staff and the owners for having achieved such a high level of excellence.

Excellent place to stay. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful, the cuisine exquisite, and they were attentive to those who needed to be careful with certain allergens. The room was very comfortable. Perhaps the only downside: not all rooms have air conditioning or a beautiful view of the surrounding nature.
Furthermore, the Passeier Valley is superb and offers countless walking opportunities.

We always enjoy visiting the day spa. The facilities are beautiful, with a nice selection of saunas, a wonderful new whirlpool in the garden, and a lovely, cool natural pool. The numerous relaxation rooms are perfect for unwinding. In the afternoon, there's a delicious selection of snacks.

I stayed here with my parents for three nights. The place is wonderful, as are the staff and the attention to every little detail. You can enjoy the peace and quiet, despite the place being—and rightfully so—very busy. Even the food, which is something I care about, is high-quality, and you can find healthy and delicious options. It must be beautiful and romantic, even in winter. I highly recommend it.
Four stars less, my rating reflects the high level of service offered by the Alto Adige professionals and the fact that I haven't given it five stars yet. The welcome and the relationship with the staff are more than excellent; they are all beautiful, well-groomed, efficient, and helpful. Despite the women wearing traditional summer dresses, I noticed no tattoos (except in rare, discreet cases), which in my opinion is a plus! The room is spacious, with functional furnishings, well-lit, and even soundproofed. There is a sitting area and desk, working wifi, a minibar, and a terrace with a mountain view. On the second night, I woke up in the dark and saw a starry, fluorescent ceiling. No, I wasn't drinking, it's an effect some rooms have. Outdoor pool area with a good-sized garden, sun loungers, some of which need repair, a sunshade that falls down, and a broken backrest hook. Everything is very manageable. This area is popular with guests and their four-legged friends. I didn't expect such a high concentration. I like them, and honestly, I found them all well-mannered and well-managed, but it's something to be careful about. The spa offers some included services and others by reservation. All activities are communicated in the morning for the following day's planning. As for the cuisine, lovers of new flavors, seasonal colors, and unusual presentations will be satisfied, in addition to the quality and quantity I found in all meals. Respect, cleanliness, and human/animal relationships: Trentino Alto Adige holds a high standard. Bravo!

Located just a few steps from the village, it offers delicious food, good comfort, a spa area, divided between adults only and families, with plenty of relaxing space, a nice garden and outdoor pool to enjoy during summer. It's very hard to find something to complain about, stayed here for Silvester and the hotel went beyond expectations even though it was full of guests. Clients are mixed German and Italian people.

We stayed for 5 days over New Year's Eve, and the hotel far exceeded all expectations. The food was excellent and plentiful. New Year's Eve included oysters and 10 different types of fish at the appetizer buffet. The staff were extremely courteous. Half-board, which effectively becomes full board with the buffet from 2 to 5 pm. The spa area offers generous spaces, both for families and for naturists. Cleanliness everywhere—in short, impossible to find any fault. Thank you, Wiesenhof.

I've never experienced anything like this in a 4-star hotel before. We booked an overnight stay with 3/4 board and arrived in the afternoon, expecting coffee and cake. In the dining room, we were treated to soup, baked mussels, giant scami, South Tyrolean specialties like speck, beef ham, salads, delicious small rolls, pastries, and, of course, cake. Dinner: fish, steak, or vegetarian. I had a steak cooked to perfection, with a delicious sauce and side dishes. The food is worthy of a Michelin star! We will definitely go back. The beauty and wellness facilities are top-notch.

Great hotel, reasonable price, everything very clean and high quality. The dinner was excellent, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious :-) Fresh croissants with vanilla filling were fresh and still lukewarm. With underground parking, a real recommendation for sports car drivers.

Great hotel, very attentive and friendly staff. The owners and managers are also very nice. The wellness and pool area is stunning. There are a variety of options both indoors and outdoors. However, I found the food a little better a year ago than in 2018. The selection at the buffet and on the menu was simply a bit more extensive in 2017. However, you can also request food outside of the menu, and these will be fulfilled whenever possible. This hotel is ideal for families with children, couples without children, and people with well-behaved dogs. And the location near Merano and the mountains: what more could you want? If you can't relax here, you won't find it anywhere.

Very nice rooms and apartments. Excellent food. Very large spa area. For dog owners, there is currently a charge of €25 per dog per stay. Ideal as a starting point for hikes, mountain bike/e-bike tours. I have rarely experienced such genuine warmth and friendliness from the staff. Excellent value for money.

Beautiful property with a lovely spa, which can also be enjoyed at the day spa where you can have a snack from 2 to 5 pm (basically a meal). The hotel is well-maintained with comfortable and well-appointed rooms. The food is good, and the staff is friendly and helpful. With the owner, you can also go on lovely excursions on e-bikes, which they rent directly from the hotel. The property is family-run, so it's very well-maintained. I highly recommend it, even with children (they have a family wellness area).

This is our third time staying at the Wiesenhof. Not only because the food is excellent, but also because the entire hotel, including the wellness area, is very clean and well-maintained. Not to mention the staff, who are always very accommodating. Simply kind and friendly. There's nothing to complain about. The rooms are being made up while we're having breakfast. This won't be the last time we vacation there.

Fantastic ambiance, extremely friendly and attentive staff. Whether Swiss-German, German, Italian, or English – everyone understands each other. The food is excellent! The menu includes a generous salad/antipasti/dessert buffet. Drink prices are reasonable (1L mineral water or 1/4 glass of wine around €6). The rooms are very clean. A huge massage/wellness offering (also reasonably priced). The service here is also super friendly. All in all, top-notch!
A matter of taste: Dogs are allowed, so they can be seen in the dining area, elevator, hotel grounds, etc. As long as the owner keeps their pet under control, it's fine and doesn't bother them. I think we'll be back!

E' sempre molto soddisfacente soggiornare negli alberghi in Alto Adige, la cura e le attenzioni al Cliente sono valori aggiunti sicuramente vincenti. La natura e le Dolomiti circostanti non sono quelle Bellunesi ma sicuramente presentano caratteristiche di valorizzazione ed organizzazione che non hanno pari. Anche l'hotel Wiesenhof a San Leonardo in Passiria conferma la regola.... cura gentilezza, una spa tranquilla a misura d'uomo ed una architettura calda, accoogliente mi hanno particolarmente colpito in modo positivo. Il tutto per un breve soggiorno a novembre, in bassa stagione, ma dove tutti i servizi sono stati assicurati tranquillamente. Complimenti

Very friendly staff. Great food, great service. The Hofer family makes you feel like you're at home. I can only recommend it to everyone. The location is also great. You can set off on your hike straight from the hotel; there's something for everyone.
